TwinChat Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These are the child safety standards of TwinChat, the app published on Google Play by PangKH (Hong Kong). They apply to every TwinChat account and to everything on TwinChat, including profiles, photos, videos, voice recordings, chats, map posts, replies and voice rooms. They are part of the TwinChat Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

TwinChat prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). You must not:

  • upload, share, link to, request, sell or promote CSAM;
  • show minors in a sexual way in any form, including drawings, animation, text and AI-generated or altered material;
  • groom, sexually solicit or sextort a minor, or try to arrange to meet a minor;
  • take part in or help the trafficking or sexual exploitation of children;
  • praise, support or give instructions for the abuse of children.

Adults only

TwinChat is only for people aged 18 or over. Everyone must enter their date of birth when they create a profile, and people under 18 cannot continue. If we find that a user is under 18, we close the account.

How to report

  • In the app: choose Report from a person's profile, a chat or a chat message, a map post, or the More menu in a voice room. Choose the Underage reason if you believe a user is under 18.
  • Block: you can block a person from their profile, a chat or a map post. Blocked people cannot see you on the map, in posts or in voice rooms, or message you.
  • By email: write to our child safety contact below with the account or content, the time and a short description.

Never download, forward, screenshot or attach suspected CSAM; describe where it is instead. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

What we do

  • We remove CSAM and related content as soon as we find it or it is reported to us, and stop the same file from being posted again.
  • We close the accounts involved.
  • We preserve the evidence the law requires.
  • We report CSAM and child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the competent law enforcement authorities, such as the Hong Kong Police Force, as the law requires.

Photos and videos are checked automatically before other people can see them, and reports are reviewed by a person. Automated checks give only partial protection, so your reports matter.

Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with the child safety laws that apply to TwinChat, including the laws of Hong Kong and of the places where TwinChat is available, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
